Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®
  • How well do you know yourself and your practice team?

  • What makes you work well, what gets you going, and how do you make it better?

  • Leadership, Teamwork, Self-Awareness  .. How do you make these things work for you?

  • Do you know your personality type, and that of your team and colleagues?

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (or MBTI) is a fun and easy way to understand and develop your skills and knowledge, of how you and the practice team approaches their roles and the practice’s function.  MBTI is the world’s most used instrument for testing personality type. Several million people world-wide undertake the questionnaire each year.

What is it that MBTI can do for you and your practice?

• Improve communication

• Reduce conflict

• Increase self-awareness

• Create development opportunities

• Strengthen teamwork.

At AAPM 2009, participants will have the opportunity to undertake  the instrument as well as participate in sessions that, with your results in hand, will allow you to further develop these skills. Look out for these sessions in the conference program (each one will be marked with the MBTI®). To attend and gain from these sessions it is important to have undertaken the instrument and to have your results.

The qualified team facilitating MBTI for the AAPM conference can assist you with undertaking the instrument online prior to the event. If you are intending to participate in this program and the sessions available, please tell us when you register online.

The cost of the instrument is $45. Normally MBTI sessions can cost several hundred dollars but AAPM 2009 is including the sessions as part of the conference program.

An 'Introduction to Type' session will be held on Wednesday. Attendees must have completed the instrument to attend. The instrument will be sent out to participants prior to the conference and must be completed at least two weeks prior to the conference. A follow-up session will be held on Thursday and anyone who has previously completed the instrument may attend, including people who participated in Wednesday's session.

See the Myers-Briggs website for more details.

To attend the introductory session you will need to order the instrument when registering for the conference online. Click here to register.
