NHMRC NICS Evidence into Action Prize

 

The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), through its National Institute of Clinical Studies (NICS), will award a $1,000 prize for the paper or poster that best demonstrates improving health care by closing an important gap between the available evidence and current clinical practice, within Australian health care settings.

Prize criteria

  • Is the paper related to closing an important gap between the best available evidence and current clinical practice?
  • Does the paper mention results of the practice change and how these were achieved or not?
  • Does the paper mention barriers or enablers in implementing the practice change?
  • Was implementation theory applied in the change process?

NICS will also profile the winning entry and authors/presenters on the NICS website, www.nhmrc.gov.au/nics.

NHMRC is Australia's peak body for supporting health and medical research. As part of the NHMRC, NICS works to improve health care by getting health and medical research into practice.

Australasian Emergency Department of the Year Award

Nominations are invited from Emergency Departments who meet the Awards’ Criteria. Nominations must be submitted using the nomination form and be received by the due date. All submissions must comply with nomination guidelines addressing all criteria and include appropriate supporting documents.

Australasian Emergency Nurse of the Year Award

Nominations are invited for Registered Nurse (emergency department) or Enrolled Nurse* (emergency department) who meet the Awards’ Criteria. Nominations must be submitted using the nomination form and be received by the due date and must comply with nomination guidelines addressing all criteria and include appropriate supporting documents. Nominations received after the closing date or which do not meet the guidelines and criteria, or do not have requested supporting documents will be deemed ineligible.
