The 10th International Conference for Emergency Nursing for the College of Emergency Nursing Australasia will be held from 10-13 October 2012 at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart, Tasmania.
In the emergency care environment, we face unique challenges in managing the increasing demands for service care delivery. This means we must continually explore new methods of delivering care in safe, resourceful and innovative ways. In 2012, the focus of the CENA conference will be to provide a platform for discussion on new frontiers in emergency nursing. The conference also aims to highlight leadership in emergency care encompassing clinical and research based nursing. Furthermore, it will showcase innovative ideas that may assist emergency nurses in meeting the demands within their work environments.
In 2012 CENA will celebrate a decade of bringing emergency nurses together, with the purpose of promoting excellence in nursing standards and practices for best patient outcomes, whilst celebrating diversity in emergency nursing practice. This conference is expected to serve as an important forum for exchange between all levels of clinicians, academics and leaders in order to explore new frontiers in emergency care within an international context. Furthermore, it aims to promote collaboration, nursing leadership and excellence in emergency care practice, education and technology.
Sub-themes:
- Explore new frontiers in emergency nursing: using emerging technologies, showcasing innovative ideas, leading change
