Invitation to Participate

Family Day Care Australia’s triennial national conference will attract individuals from the family day care and broader childcare communities. If you are involved in the delivery of home-based childcare, then this conference is for you!

Through the conference we aim to:

  • promote an ongoing exchange of ideas on high quality childcare service delivery in a diverse range of settings

  • help you gain insight of the bigger picture and our shared common purpose

  • challenge and inspire you to think new thoughts, expand your horizons, and network with peers

The program will cover hands-on aspects of childcare as well as current research and forward thinking approaches to early learning. Delegates will include early childhood professionals from Australia and overseas, academics, trainers, government representatives, advocates and researchers. Parents are welcome to attend keynote addresses.

This conference will help you:

  • find creative solutions to daily challenges, practical solutions to sustainable business, and explore new ways of doing business

  • create networks, meet new people and establish meaningful, ongoing relationships with colleagues from across Australia

  • educate yourself and others – share your learning and experiences with colleagues at the conference and back home

  • make a memory of your time in Tasmania where you were inspired by the environment and people

Fantastic social events include a welcome function, spectacular conference dinner and a morning at Hobart’s famous Salamanca Markets. Enjoy the trade exhibition and take advantage of partner tours so you can bring your family and have a holiday around the conference!

Plan now to be in Hobart in 2009. Save yourself, and encourage your scheme colleagues to fundraise to help subsidise the costs. Family Day Care Australia will help with a payment plan too.
