18 - 21 July 2012, brisbane convention centre

Children the heart of the Dream

July 2012 will feature the 7th Family Day Care Australia National Conference. The conference will run between 18-21 July at the magnificent Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The conference theme is ‘Children the heart of the Dream’. With children at the centre of what we do, we unite in a common goal, to harness the unique benefits of family day care and to strive for excellence in providing unrivalled outcomes for children.
As has been the case in previous FDCA Conferences, the organising committee are enlisting a diverse and high calibre program of respected presenters and facilitators. Blended with an outstandingsocial program to network with colleagues you will leave ‘Children the Heart of the Dream’ inspired, informed andunited in our mission to make family day care excellent childcare ... at home!

Presenters, keynote speakers and workshop sessions will focus around 3 key streams:

Celebrate Children - their strengths and their ability to learn, communicate, develop relationships, personal identity and spirituality

Challenge our Practices – to firmly embed children ‘at the heart of the dream’. A critical review of our work to reconstruct the ‘practice’ of managers, coordination-unit staff and educators, around quality outcomes for children.

Connect with Others – to look locally and globally at research and evidence based best practice and to share experiences that build our knowledge bank.
