A number of social functions will be held during the symposium, the cost for some are included in full registration, and additional tickets for accompanying partners are available. Please note the Symposium Dinner is an optional event and cost is separate to registration.

Welcome to Hobart and the Conference! The Welcome Reception is an ideal opportunity to catch up with your international and interstate colleagues and exhibitors and to meet delegates who are attending this international abalone event for the first time.
Government House Reception

His Excellency, The Honourable Peter Underwood, AC, Governor of Tasmania, and Mrs Underwood will host a reception for delegates and their partners at Government House to mark the conference. Tasmania’s Government House is regarded as one of the best Vice-Regal residences in the Commonwealth and is one of the largest in Australia. Invitations for the Reception are issued by Government House. There is a limit to the number Government House can accommodate and, if necessary, delegates who register early will be given preference.
