These are the
specialised 'think tanks' that give delegates the arena
to develop best-practice ideas. Special Interest Groups
enable delegates to form networks and focus on their
particular area within the broader field of
international education. These SIG meetings have spawned
innovation and National initiatives in the past, where
the knowledge and experience of long-standing ISANA
members and the enthusiasm of newcomers combine to move
our individual areas of expertise into exciting new
developments. They are often attended by Government
representatives who want to get a real feeling for a
particular area of the industry. Or you can request your
SIG Chair to invite them! The first afternoon of the
Conference, Wednesday, is set aside for SIGs to meet for
introductions and setting of agendas, followed by main
discussions on Thursday afternoon.
