Doctoral Consortium
A Doctoral Consortium for PhD and other doctoral candidates will be held on Day 3 of the conference. The Doctoral Consortium is a workshop for research students who are in the early to mid phases of their doctoral dissertation work. The purpose of the Consortium is for students to present their research project ideas and to receive feedback from other experts and practitioners in international education. We expect all Doctoral Consortium papers to be refereed.
The goal of the Doctoral Consortium is to provide a forum for postgraduate students to:
- engage with other students and researchers in international education;
- provide an opportunity for participants to publish a peer-reviewed paper;
- receive feedback and general suggestions in a constructive and engaging manner;
- provide an opportunity for networking with others who work in similar areas;
- connect with a community of researchers in international education;
Those who wish to participate in the Doctoral Consortium will need to submit an
abstract by 6 May 2011 through the Presenters Zone of the website. Details of expectations about refereed papers at this
conference can be found on the Conference website and examples of refereed
papers from previous ISANA conferences can be found on the ISANA website at
www.isana.org.au.
