The following social functions will be held during the conference.
Government House Reception

His Excellency, The Honourable Peter Underwood, AC, Governor of Tasmania, and Mrs Underwood will host a reception for delegates and their partners at Government House to mark the conference. Tasmania’s Government House is regarded as one of the best Vice-Regal residences in the Commonwealth and is one of the largest in Australia. Invitations for the Reception are issued by Government House. There is a limit to the number Government House can accommodate and, if necessary, delegates who register early will be given preference. Bookings for the Government House Reception must be received by 04 November 2011.
No late bookings accepted.

Breakfast Session: “Show me an IELTS band score 7 - an insight into language proficiency levels”

By way of example, IELTS staff will provide insight into the proficiency that an IELTS 7.0 band score represents, with a focus on Speaking and Writing skills. Participants will gain first hand exposure to footage of a real candidate taking IELTS. This session is designed to provide educators with a snapshot of the IELTS test format and assessment criteria.
A light breakfast will be provided.

PoisE’n Bollypop
PoisEn is an award winning dance club that evolved from a simple idea of a collective devoted to providing international students with a hobby and a positive way to engage with the community to a program that helped communities gain confidence, team building abilities and develop adept communication skills to work with people from all walks of life.
Demonstrating a flair for changing looks and styles, PoisE’n offers audiences a constant change in their style, costumes and cheeky take at the world of performing arts. In 2011, PoisE’n created a new genre of dance – Bollypop! Bollypop culminates of the group’s favorite dance styles, hip-hop and Bollywood.
PoisE’n will be putting on a ‘masala’ dance workshop during the ISANA dinner so you can explore and discover the Bollywood dancer within you. Before you know it, you’ll be screwing the lightbulb, petting the dog and perfecting the head wobble.
